It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!  The annual White House Christmas tree was delivered Friday (Nov. 25). The Obamas’ dog Bo made sure to inspect it.The tree and other holiday decorating, will be revealed today Wednesday (Nov. 30). Bo, got the first “sniffs” at it!!!

The tree is an 18-and-a-half-foot balsam fir tree from Wisconsin. It will be placed in the Blue Room and will be decorated to honor Blue Star families, which are those families whose loved ones have served or are currently serving in the armed forces.

The tree is from Schroeder’s Forevergreens, owned by Tom and Sue Schroeder. They have entered the national contest to be the White House Christmas tree four times and finally won in 2011. The winner of the National Christmas Tree Association’s annual contest has provided the White House with a tree every year since 1966.
