Animal Welfare League of Arlington

It's Rescue Monday!

This week we would like to spotlight the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.

They are Arlington County Virginia's official animal shelter and humane society. Dogs and puppies, cats and kittens, bunny rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, and other small companion animals are available for adoption to residents of Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.

Please visit their website to see animals currently available for adoption, to make a  donation or volunteer.

Their site also provides information on the animal control laws for Arlington County, VA. You can even take a virtual tour of the animal shelter with Jack, a loveable yellow Lab,  at http://www.awla.org/virtual-shelter-tour.shtml

The AWLA is also a wonderful source for community resources and education. They offer a camp for kids every summer, presentations for your school, church or scout group, and low-cost Rabies and Microchipping clinics.

Please visit their website at www.awla.org for more info on the Animal Welfare League of Arlington.
