Don’t take the Easy Way Out

It's Training Tip Tuesday!

The key to training is to make sure that the behavior you want your pet to exhibit is very rewarding-in other words, when Rover does something right- Praise, Praise, Praise!!!

If there is a behavior that you do not want your animal to continue, make a conscious effort to never reward this action. Sometimes when Rover is barking it is easier to pet him to get him quiet, or when Fluffy pounces on the bed meowing at 5 am for breakfast, it is simply easier to get up and feed her. Resist the temptation to take the easy way and you and your pet will be happier.
