Creative Holiday Gift Ideas

With the Holidays upon us, many of you might be wondering what to get your furry family as a gift.

For a pet who already has all the toys and treats they could ever want or need, what else is there to gift them?

Well, below we have a couple unique ideas for gifts you can give your pets!

For our first idea, we suggest you consider a coupon book! We know, we know, this is the silly, cute kind of gift a 6 year old might give to their parents. But this is actually a really fun and creative gift to give your pet!

They may not understand just what you've given them, but as you pull the coupons for them throughout the year they'll come to appreciate the gift.

The idea is that throughout the next year, when you have some free time to spend on your pet, you go and pull a coupon and gift it to your dog or cat.

So what can you put in the coupon book? Here are some ideas!

  1. Trip to the Dog Park - add a few coupons for trips to the dog park. Whenever you pull one of those, you put together an impromptu trip to the dog park!
  2. Juicy Piece of Steak or Chicken - when you pull this coupon you cook for yourself a nice piece of steak or chicken and share it with your pet! Yum!
  3. Get Out Of Jail Free Card - pull this coupon when your pup or cat has an accident, or tears apart a piece of furniture or clothing. A one use, no questions asked forgiveness for one mistake!
  4. 1 Hour of Snuggle Time - when you pull this coupon, you have to drop everything and spend 1 full hour 100% focused on snuggling with your pet.

Another unique gift idea is to make a donation in your pet's name! This is another gift they won't every understand. But if your dog or cat could talk, I'm sure they'd support a donation made in their name to a local rescue or shelter.

For a list of local shelters we recommend donating to, look to this post we made on Monday about shelters and rescue's we've worked with in the past!

Your dog or cat would be thrilled to know they're helping pets less fortunate than them grow, flourish, and find their forever homes!

One final idea we've had for a unique gift is to make them a fun slideshow or video! This is the perfect kind of gift you guys can enjoy together, and that you'll be happy to have down the road to remember your pet by.

Take a year's worth of pictures and videos and put together a fun PowerPoint slideshow to celebrate your pet and the year you've spent together. Share this slideshow with friends, family, and even us at Becky's! We'd love to see it!

So those are just a few unique, creative gift ideas you can get for the pet that already has everything! Hope this helps.

Happy Holidays everyone!
