Akita Rescue Mid-Atlantic Coast
It's Rescue Monday!
Akita Rescue Mid-Atlantic Coast (ARMAC), Inc., is one of the oldest Akita rescue groups in the country. It was founded by a group of concerned Akita owners in 1984. While their top priority is to save and find forever homes for Akitas, the group also strives to educate potential Akita owners and provide support for Akita owners.
All dogs are evaluated by volunteers and then placed in an appropriate foster home. All dogs are then seen by a vet to be vaccinated, wormed, spayed or neutered, and microchipped.
The experienced volunteers of ARMAC also provide support to Akita owners who may be struggling with their own Akita.
If you have an Akita and need some assistance or are considering adopting one, please check out the ARMAC website at http://akitarescue.rescuegroups.org/.
While you’re there, check out their volunteer opportunities, or how you can make a donation.
