Inclement Weather Policy
In case of inclement weather or natural disaster, Becky’s Pet Care employees are entrusted to use best judgment in caring for your pet(s) and home. Becky’s Pet Care and its employees will not be held responsible for decisions that are made with the best intent for your pet or home during emergencies or natural disasters, to include finding accommodations and caring for animals during inclement weather scenarios or natural disasters. BPC strongly recommends that clients provide the contact information of a trusted neighbor within walking distance to whom we could call if conditions prohibit travel. Providing this information authorizes Becky’s Pet Care to give this contact home access instructions.
Our inclement weather policy reflects our desire to provide safety and care for both your pet and our employee. In dangerous weather conditions (i.e., thunderstorms, extreme heat, extreme cold, etc.), dogs will be taken out long enough to relieve themselves and the rest of the visit time will be spent indoors.
If your Pet Care Professional is running late because of weather or natural disaster, we will conduct the visit as soon as it is safe to do so. If we are not capable of reaching your pet, your emergency contacts on file will be contacted to aid in care. Becky’s Pet Care will resume scheduled care as soon it is safe to do so.
Please ensure clear access to your home and lockbox area for your Pet Care Professional. This would include arranging for snow/ice removal if you are out of town.
