Tamzin B. Smith Portrait Photography serves individuals and businesses across the D.C. metro area, providing tailored portrait services for professional branding, social media, online dating, and personal use. Recently, Tamzin also started specializing in dog portraiture, combining her professional expertise with her passion as a dog mom.

In collaboration with her clients, she delves into the objectives of their portraits, the image they wish to project, and their target audience. They also discuss preferences based on their past experiences and the intended use of their photos, whether online or as prints. This comprehensive understanding allows them to plan and execute portrait sessions that meet their specific needs while managing costs effectively.

Sessions can be held at Tamzin’s Rockville studio, your office, home, or another preferred location, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience with results you'll love.

Homeward Trails Animal Rescue is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Founded in 2002, we secure temporary and permanent homes for thousands of dogs and cats annually rescued from under-resourced communities and shelters or whose owners can no longer care for them.

While most of our animals come from the mid-Atlantic region, we also rescue animals internationally and have partners in numerous countries, including Thailand, Kuwait, Peru, Russia, Ukraine, and more. We also provide spay/neuter for hundreds of street dogs and cats annually in Puerto Rico through our GuaniCARES program.

The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria, located in Northern Virginia, promotes compassion for all living beings, provides refuge for distressed animals, and facilitates mindful adoptions.

As advocates of comprehensive animal welfare, we collaborate with other organizations, influence policies, and engage in research to improve animal care practices while emphasizing responsible pet ownership through education and resources. Our mission reflects a commitment to creating a community where every animal is loved, respected, and treated kindly.

Pawsh Dog Wash exists to give your pet the best hygienic care we can through means best suited for them. We do not believe in one single way to handle every pet. Some dogs require slow and steady during their visit, while others need a firm tone and hand. No two dogs were created equal, and we understand that.

At Pawsh, we do not force things on your dog that we do not find necessary. Some places will try to sell Blueberry Facials, mud baths, and specialized treatments- we don’t believe in that, and we don’t believe your pet should tolerate more than necessary for their health and hygiene. Pawsh is here for your pet, not your money.

Shirlington Dogs II is the all-volunteer-run Sponsoring Group that supports and helps maintain Shirlington Dog Park in Arlington, VA, as a clean, safe, and enjoyable place for dogs and their owners. We are a non-profit and tax-deductible 501(c)(3) organization whose functions include supplying poop bags, planting trees, and organizing clean-up events. Shirlington Dog Park was established over thirty years ago and is recognized as one of the best dog parks in the region and the country. Its narrow length is almost two acres in size and includes a quarter-mile accessible trail. There is also a separate adjoining area for dogs under 25 pounds.
