Microchip Your Pet
Microchipping is an important part of keeping your pet safe. This is a great tool for both dogs and cats.
Cats who are indoor/outdoor cats can stray. The best solution is to keep your cat inside and only let them outside under supervision if that is something you allow. If your cat escapes, they have a better chance of getting home to you with a microchip.
Dogs are notorious for escaping. When your dog is lost advise people to note the area and to call you immediately.
If they can secure the dog, that's the best thing, but it only works if the dog comes to them. Once the dog is captured and ends up in a shelter, a microchip can be their saving grace, otherwise, they may be rehomed.
