💡 A Few Tips for Your Visit

  • Weekday Parking: Parking lots near Metro stations or commuter hubs (like in Reston) can fill up early on weekdays. Your best bet for a guaranteed spot on a workday is to aim for the dedicated trail-user lots.

  • School Lots: The parking lots at Loudoun County High School and Loudoun Valley High School are only available on weekends during the school year, so plan accordingly.

  • Overnight Parking: Overnight parking is generally not recommended, particularly in areas like Shirlington.

We hope this list helps you find the perfect starting point for you and your pups next walk, jog, or bike ride on the W&OD Trail.
