It's Rescue Monday!

This week the spotlight is on the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria. Their mission is to inspire compassion for all living things, to provide shelter to animals in need, and to promote adoptions, animal welfare, and responsible pet ownership in our community.

AWLA is so much more than an animal shelter or rescue group. They offer many other services, including emergenct preparedness advice and pet bereavement support groups.

Whether you want to adopt a new best friend, need advice about deterring wildlife, find an injured cat, want your scout troop to learn about animals or want to have your dog neutered, the Animal Welfare League of Alexandria is a full-service resource for our community.
