A Slippery Situation
It's Wellness Wednesday!
After yesterday's snowfall, this seemed appropriate. If you walk your pet or use snow and ice melting products, be sure to wipe off your pet's feet well after a winter outing, especially when walking where snow or ice melting products may have been used.
These products can be irritating to paws and skin, and may cause dryness, cracking or burning. Pets may lick their paws and ingest the chemicals. A safer alternative is to use sand or kitty litter as opposed to ice-melting chemicals. Better for the environment and better for your pet.
