It’s In the News Thursday!

On Tuesday evening, Stump, a 10 year old Sussex Spaniel, became the oldest dog to ever best in show at the Westminster Dog Show.  Stump won over nearly 2500 dogs that were entered in the show held at Madison Square Garden.

Stump won the sporting group at Westminster in 2004 and then he retired. Soon he became ill and almost lost his life. After sending 19 days in the hospital, he survived.Stump just came out of retirement last week for “one last walk on the green carpet”, and what a walk that was!

This was the 133rd Westminster Dog Show with over 170 breeds represented. And Stump bested them all.

Way to go, Stump! Photobucket
